I am so glad the new kdramas are bringing back the specific brand of loser men. You know which brand I'm talking about. The Ahn "min min" Minhyuk brand of loser men and I'm loving it. The "I worship this goddess and I'm so in love with her and I can't believe I get to love her. Oh my gods I love her so much" brand of loser men. And we're being fed so well with lovely runner, love next door, no gain no love, my demon, Cinderella at 2am, Hierarchy, Midnight Romance in Hagwon, doctor slump, Queen of tears, welcome to samdal-ri and even good partner (yes it's one sided but the dedication and yuri's couple too).

We need more fictional loser men who worship women to satiate our eldest independent daughter desires.

So I finally finished watching Healer and I can't believe I slept on it! Because it's actually so good?!! Like WHA!!!!! 😭😍😭

But then again, you can't blame me, considering it was aired in year 2015 👀 and I only started watching k-dramas from last year. So there's that too 🌝

I guess I kinda owe thanks to 'Marry my husband' and 'Welcome to Samdal-ri'. Because when I was looking up for new content to watch I saw Min young and Ji-chang names in the cast and was like 'Hey! I know them! I have seen their dramas recently!' So thank you MMH and WTS 🥹💛

As for Healer, yup you are right; I am going to watch it again 🙈 still not over the feels it give me in each and every episode, ranging from happiness to angst to fluffiness 😍🤩

I won't be lying but I was a bit disappointed with the way they ended the last episode. Too much stuff crammed in it and still some questions were left unanswered.

But oh well, such is life 🥲 you don't get everything ( I would have like them to see them get married)

There's now one more thing to do *cracking my wrists*; time to write fanfics of my new otp 🙈✊

Chae Young-Shin really is one of the best female characters ever written which is made even cooler by the fact that she is a female lead in a male-centered drama

I love that she has her own backstory, trauma, passion, job dynamics, an idol, and a complete unrelated subplot of helping a suicidal battered woman seek divorce out of the goodness of her heart.

That and the crazy dance with the dad was a bonus

This is definitely an underrated series. Keep in mind you’ll be needing a buttload of tissue boxes handy before watching this though. I’m an adult orphan, I lost my whole family by the age of 21, three of my family members died of cancer, two were in hospice and I just recently lost my 14 year old furbaby this year to cancer also. Cancer f*ing sucks. With that said, this series did an emotional whopper on me, but it was tastefully and beautifully done, especially with all the acting and writing. And for all those wondering Wook does not disappoint in the romance department. Extra steamy kisses as he always does.

Mini-review:

I couldn't wait to binge this for several reasons: firstly, Kim Tae Ri is one of my favorite actresses ever; secondly, I love stories centered around theater and musicals; thirdly, K-dramas with casts made up of 99% women are basically an unheard-of concept. And thankfully, it more than lived up to my expectations. I had a blast watching all these delightful, complex female characters and the development of their intricate relationships. Tbh, I would have liked the show to push further and showcase the queerness that obviously coats certain pairings, but at least the cast did an amazing job. And the gukgeuk scenes were downright enthralling too; I felt like I was watching them in person. The ending does seem way too sudden and rushed, but overall I'm very satisfied with Jeongnyeon.
